I have been going to China Eight since they opened--they are my favorite Chinese food place. Their food tastes good and they will make it how you ask, within reason--like add things or leave things off. They are pretty good at remembering what you ordered and who ordered what. They can be kinda shy and/or not that friendly acting. However, they get orders correct and they get the food out. They always ask if you want sauce, etc. and will give you more if you ask. It's been the same folks since they opened. I am not sure why people who have California addresses are making really bad reviews on this North Carolina place.--that makes no sense. I would ignore those reviews.
Good food, ok service. One of the best things to eat in that small college town. As a college student I recommend their lunch specials if you're on a budget.
I always go there to get the general-chicken with white rice and noodles . It the best I can't find a single place in Robeson country with better Chinese food than China eight.
I have been going to China Eight for YEARS. They have the best egg rolls around and I LOVE the crab rangoons. The sweet & sour dishes are a hit & miss. Sometimes they are VERY good & sometimes they are hard as bricks (I was afraid I would break a tooth). I also love the peppered steak but lately it is more pepper than steak (it was not like that a few years ago). I am now into the sesame beef. It was VERY good last time I ordered. Like everywhere you go - there are good & bad. Give them a try. With the low prices, it will not hurt.
Food is good, I love the Crab Rangoons. The prices are great.
Overall your typical American Chinese food joint. Popular among the locals and the college students. Large portions of food for a good price. Always delicious and up to expectation. Food rating has not always been great, but they are improving. If you're in town and craving Chinese this is the place to go.
